27 pupils from Years 5 and 6 spent a gloriously sunny weekend in the Scottish capital in June 2018. An early train from Durham meant we were in Edinburgh in plenty of time to see all of the sights. We saw the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, Greyfriar’s Bobby, The Museum of Scotland, The Camera Obscura and took an open-top bus tour all on day one!
After a Nando’s tea and a good night’s sleep, we headed to Edinburgh zoo and saw the pandas, meerkats, monkeys and penguins amongst many other animals. Back in Prince’s Street Gardens, we saw a pipe band contest before catching the train home. What a fantastic weekend we all had!
