Trick or treating was off-limits this year so we were more determined than ever to bring a smile to our pupils’ faces. On the final day of the half-term (which also coincided with a certain special birthday) we held a Hallowe’en fun day in our bubbles.
Children made a superb effort to look their spookiest; some making great use of our costume swap shop where pre-loved items were only 50p.
We also had a cake sale and juice at break time to raise funds for Breast Cancer Now- we raised a huge £200!
Party games were played in class bubbles such as spooky musical statues as well as a colouring competition. We also organised a community pumpkin trail for over half-term to allow families in West Rainton and Leamside to still get out and about, sharing in the Hallowe’en atmosphere.
Who says you can’t still find the fun in 2020?
