The kinds of SEN that are provided for:

At West Rainton Primary School, we have a vast range of experience in supporting children and young people with a wide range of needs including:

  • Dyslexia
  • Dyscalculia
  • Down Syndrome
  • Autistic Spectrum Disorder
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
  • Kabuki Syndrome
  • Global Developmental Disorder
  • Microcephaly

Equally, our staff receive regular training updates in how to support pupils with additional medical needs, such as epilepsy and diabetes. Our commitment to removing barriers for these pupils is second to none.

The school provides data on the levels and types of need to the Local Authority. This is collected through the school census.
